John Easter is an award-winning designer who works closely with McDonough, Burke, and the firm's project managers to tackle large, complex programs while achieving swift design resolution. He has also enjoyed succesful collaborations with Diane Dale on large-scale master planning and community design projects, where his unique combination of talents has played a crucial role in shaping the firm's transformation of land-planning and development processes.
Easter has led the day-to-day design of several large-scale commercial projects abroad including Nike
European Headquarters; 901
Cherry, Offices for Gap Inc.; the IBM Corporate Offices, Riekerpolder; Ford
Amazon; and 22@ Habitat | Metalúrgica in Barcelona. Recent projects include the design of the 580,000 sf National Collections Centre for the National Museum of Science and Industry at its new Creative Planet complex in Wroughton, England; a mixed-use tower development in downtown Colorado Springs; and sustainable prototypes for Gazeley Properties, one of England's leading providers of distribution warehouse space.
Easter received his BS and Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia, which awarded him the Carlo Pellicia Fellowship for travel in Rome. He worked as an independent designer and for several architectural firms in Princeton, New Jersey, and Charlottesville prior joining WM+P in 1994.
