Silicon Valley Buzz features NASA Sustainability Base

The NASA Sustainability Base, the new 50,000-sf office building that is nearing completion on the Ames Research Center campus at Moffett Field, continues to attract attention and generate buzz. The latest is literally buzz: Silicon Valley Buzz features an interview with Steve Zornetzer, the Associate Center Director at NASA Ames.

Sustainability Base, is designed to showcase NASA’s culture of innovation. The client charged the team with delivering a facility that embodies NASA’s spirit, fosters collaboration, supports health and well-being, and goes beyond LEED® Platinum in its pursuit of Cradle to Cradle® solutions.

William McDonough + Partners is the design architect on this project, which was a fast-track collaboration with an amazing team that includes AECOM, Architect of Record, MEP / Structural / Civil; Loisis + Ubbelohde, Daylighting / Lighting / Energy Consultant; Swinerton, Contractor; Siteworks Studio, Landscape Architect.
